ServiceNow Developer
Position Summary:
This role will have a foundational understanding of ServiceNow development and be eager to learn and grow in this dynamic field. It involves assisting in the design, development, and implementation of ServiceNow applications and integrations, under the guidance of senior developers and architects.
Responsibilities:
- ServiceNow Development: Assist in the development, configuration, and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform, including but not limited to Service Catalog, Incident, Problem, Change, and CMDB.
- Customization: Develop simple to moderate custom applications, workflows, and modules using ServiceNow Studio.
- Scripting: Write and maintain client-side and server-side scripts, including Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Actions, and Scheduled Jobs.
- Integration: Assist in integrating ServiceNow with other systems using APIs and integration tools.
- Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for developed applications, customizations, and integrations.
- Support: Provide tier 1 support for ServiceNow issues and resolve tickets related to the platform.
- Testing: Participate in the testing and validation of new features and functionalities to ensure alignment with business requirements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with senior developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in software development, with a focus on ServiceNow or a similar platform.
Preferred Skills:
- Basic knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and XML.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow modules like Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Catalog.
- Understanding of database concepts, preferably SQL.
- Exposure to REST/SOAP web services is a plus.
- Certifications: ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) preferred.
