What are the responsibilities and job description for the Software Product Owner position at our company?
The Software Product Owner at Vivacity Tech PBC will have a tactical focus guiding product through the development process. This individual will effectively translate the vision of the Head of Product and Product department into actionable tasks.
This is a hybrid position in Greenville, SC. You must be located in the Greenville, SC area. This position is NOT remote.

While no day will be completely the same, you will execute daily responsibilities in these various functions:
- Communicate vision and strategy to stakeholders in alignment with company objectives
- Ensure the successful delivery of product features and improvements through tasks and responsibilities
- Collaborate cross departmentally to ensure shared understanding of open items and requirements
- Serve as the point of contact and subject matter expert between the product team, stakeholders, and the software development team
- Uphold standard communication channels for feedback loops and updates
- Monitor and report on key product metrics and project progress
- Develop and maintain a product roadmap that outlines the product’s evolution
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Expert technical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and assist and train others
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
- Extremely proficient with Google Suite or similar software with the ability to learn new or updated software

Education & Experience
- Minimum 2-5 years relevant experience required in Computer Science, Business, Product Management, or a related field
- Strong understanding of software development processes and/or agile methodologies preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer
- Ability to lift 50 lbs as required to engage with Product
- Less than 10% travel
