Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Floor Presentation and Event Preparation
- Coordinates and facilitates proper staging and visual maintenance of merchandise, as well as the appropriate display of the Outlet floor to ensure appropriate daily showroom recovery and store readiness.
- Moves and assembles merchandise as needed (includes picture display, merchandise packaging, following load out procedures to customer, and unloading trucks).
- Works independently to insure proper visual appearance of showroom.
- Leads team in special projects and showroom floor reset.
Merchandise Pricing and Tagging
- Assists with execution of all pricing and tagging initiatives to continuously move product and ensure merchandise is tagged accurately.
Market Analysis
- Performs regular market analysis and competitive shop to keep abreast of market trends and opportunities.
- Enters data for store transfers and purchase orders.
- Communicates merchandising layouts, planograms, and store listings.
- Creates and implements store merchandising plans and standards.
- Conducts routine store walks.
- Communicates to district and store leaders on merchandising strategies.
- Maximizes inventory productivity and maintains proper inventory levels.
- Performs statistical analysis to identify district trends.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Must have knowledge of:
- Basic understanding of moving equipment utilized in the Outlet Center.
- Excellent understanding of safety policy and practices.
- Basic understanding of vacuum, small hand tools, hand trucks, and ladders use.
- Excellent computer, analytical and communication skills.
- Advanced computer literacy primarily with Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Motivated to learn with a strong sense of urgency.
- Detail oriented.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in design or Equivalent preferred.
Experience
Prior experience of 3-5 years in visual merchandise (retail buying a plus) and/or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Essential Requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written with customers, managers, and other associates.
- Excellent organizational skills preferred with ability to handle multiple priorities, meet demanding deadlines, and adjust to sudden changes in workflow.
- Excellent creative skills a must in order to create appealing furniture displays.
- Excellent teamwork, courteous and helpful with staff, contributes to a positive work environment.
- Good time management skills.
- Ability to listen, understand, follow directions, and learn the production process.
- Ability to develop professional relationships with coworkers.
- Ability to follow the company policies and procedures.
- Ability to meet or exceed production standards.
