Position Summary:
This Senior Marketing Manager position is responsible for brand management and marketing strategy, including developing and executing comprehensive campaigns, analyzing and telling stories though data, and aligning brand and marketing initiatives with overall ministry goals to drive awareness, customer engagement, and audience and revenue growth as applicable for Artos Academy (Artos) and the Center for Bible Engagement (CBE).
Essential Functions:
- Collaborate with Artos and CBE teams to develop branding and messaging that aligns with the overall strategic direction of Our Daily Bread Ministries (ODBM) to fuel a global Bible engagement movement.
- Plan, manage, and execute all marketing campaigns and initiatives to achieve team and global ministry goals to scale.
- Working with the ODBM’s Ministry-Wide Digital Marketing team, develop insight-based strategies to nurture email lists and social accounts for brands and grow them organically and through paid means.
- With each brand content team, represent the target audience in developing user journeys and track engagement by regularly interacting with the Data Services team so that audience engagement is deepened with content and brand.
- Create or provide strategies for marketing content (video, graphic, text) meant for landing pages, email, and social media distribution to drive exposure, awareness, engagement, and sales/donations/subscriptions as appropriate.
- Maximize opportunities through churches and organizations to grow group and individual subscriptions and/or sales as appropriate for each brand.
- Actively communicate and collaborate across global teams.
- Liaise with the ODBM Global Brand Council, Creative Services, and product marketing and sales teams to develop best in class campaigns and promotional strategies.
- Create, maintain, execute, and communicate details of a marketing plan calendar for each brand, providing report regularly to the Artos and CBE teams and ministry at-large as appropriate.
- Identify, interpret, and utilize new and upcoming marketing trends.
- Benchmark criteria to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and implement improvements as required.
- Provide necessary reports to content and ministry effort teams to ensure clear communication on progress to goals and/or roadblocks.
- Work with data teams to acquire SEO reports to determine content gaps and opportunities.
- Train Service Partners, Contact Center, interns, or contractors, as needed on various aspects of Artos and CBE.
Study or Knowledge or Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Digital Marketing, Marketing, or a related field is required.
- 5 years of experience in general and digital marketing and brand development and management is required.
- Bible knowledge and familiarity of theological terms is required.
- Demonstrated cultural intelligence and competence is required.
- Proficiency in multiple languages is preferred but not required.
- Experience with online subscription-based product positioning, retention, and growth strategies is preferred.
- Ability to lead, coordinate, and manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, coordinating with multiple teams in the US and globally and meeting deadlines and goals, is vital to success in this position.
- Proficiency with various cloud-based software suites including, but not limited to InDesign, Photoshop, and other marketing design and marketing content tools.
- Proficiency with Google Analytics and Google AdWords and other digital advertising tools.
- Proficiency with content and project management software, e-Commerce, and associated tools is required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office required.
- Excellent writing/oral communication and customer service skills required.
- Detail oriented and possesses strong problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with Salesforce and CRM systems preferred.
- Strive to live a life consistent with Biblical principles, engaged with the Bible on a consistent basis and demonstrate continued growth and spiritual development.
Internal Work Environment:
The position involves extensive communication and coordination with individuals within AA and CBE and often within the greater ODBM organization, including global offices. Significant discretion, accuracy, tact, and clarity are required
to successfully negotiate schedules, deadlines, technical issues, and personalities.
External Work Environment:
The position involves extensive communication with contractors, and outside ministry organizations. Professionalism including discretion, tact, patience, vocabulary, and accuracy are required.
Leadership Responsibilities:
Provide and lead marketing direction Artos and CBE. Collaborate and give direction to project managers, creative services, digital marketing, and other colleagues as necessary on assigned tasks. Able to lead with excellence and provide explanation of marketing efforts to departments/individuals involved so everyone fully understands project goal(s), expected results, and required services. Provide direction and clarity on decisions affecting marketing efforts. Responsible for decisions that will affect how our public views ODBM, as well as the brands this position represents daily.
Stewardship of Resources:
Responsible for managing assigned marketing budget with stewardship.
