Position Summary: 

Collaborative producer and editor dedicated to crafting compelling visual content for the Our Daily Bread Ministries Visual Media team. Skilled in producing and editing a diverse range of video formats—including documentaries, Bible studies, social media content, and marketing materials—while aligning with the vision and direction of the Director of Visual Media. 

Essential Functions: 

1. Collaborate closely with the Visual Media team and other Our Daily Bread Ministries (ODBM) departments to produce videos that make the Bible understandable and accessible to all. Contribute to the creation of impactful visual content that aligns with the ministry’s mission. 

2. Take part in all stages of production, from pre-production to final delivery, in roles assigned by the Director of Visual Media—including directing, camera operation, audio recording, and editing. 

3. Lead projects with a story-driven approach, effectively communicating biblical and theological principles. 

4. Edit across various styles, demonstrating artistic sensitivity in storytelling, pacing, and musical integration. 

5. Manage time efficiently and communicate effectively to align schedules and deliverables, ensuring realistic expectations and timely completion of projects. 

6. Adapt to various production roles as needed to support the ministry’s creative efforts. 

7. Travel domestically and internationally, providing production support for up to eight weeks per year. 

8. Self-motivated and proactive, with a strong ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a creative team environment. 

Job Specifications 

Job Title: Video Producer/Editor 

Study or Knowledge and Experience: 

· Bachelor's degree in Video Production, Journalism, Biblical Studies, or equivalent professional experience. 

· Minimum 10 years’ experience in professional video production. 

· Deepening knowledge and personal experience of the Bible, striving to live in alignment with its principles while demonstrating ongoing spiritual growth and development. 

· Keen artistic and story-driven sensibilities, with a strong grasp of timing, visual composition, and music to enhance storytelling. 

· Able to think independently and navigate story challenges while also collaborating effectively within a team to find creative solutions. 

· Ability to work in an environment of experimentation and new ideas. 

· Excellent communication skills. 

· Film production: camera operation and other related but diverse positions required. Experience in screenwriting, photography, and motion graphics is highly desired. 

· Film editing: Adobe CC, Davinci, Resolve, and Avid Media Composer experience is highly desired. 

· Experience in permissions and licensing of audio and visual materials, public and private properties helpful. 

· Proficiency in a second language is a plus. 

· Strive to live a life consistent with biblical principles, engaged with the Bible on a consistent basis and demonstrate continued growth and spiritual development. 

Internal Work Environment: 

Consistently contribute creative video ideas while navigating complex theological, conceptual, and strategic challenges. Develop and present well-structured written content, visual treatment proposals, and production plans for both assigned and self-initiated projects. Thrive in a cross-functional, collaborative team environment, working seamlessly with diverse departments to bring projects to life. 

External Communication: 

Negotiate agreements with contracted production crew members. Occasional communication with vendors, officials, and experts related to audio and video archives, personal and public collections, and logistics for field assignments. Regular verbal and written communication with academics and other experts, authors, performers, authorities, and crew participating in Visual Media productions. Communicating respectfully and effectively within a multicultural, multi-denominational environment. 

Leadership Responsibility: 

Gives production direction to crew, talent, and post-production direction to editing team members as needed. Advocates for Visual Media team on projects as needed. 

Stewardship of Resources: 

Responsible for budget and expense tracking on projects as assigned. 

Miscellaneous: 

Travel domestically and internationally to provide production support. Available for up to eight weeks annually.
