Position Overview:
Primary point of contact and advocate for trafficking survivors, working in collaboration with law enforcement and partner agencies. Provides trauma-informed crisis intervention, advocacy, and case management using strength-based and empowerment approaches. Focuses on enhancing survivor agency, resilience, and self-determination while facilitating access to comprehensive services that promote safety, stability, and healing.
Essential Duties:
Assessment & Advocacy:
- Process and follow up on QYIT assessment referrals
- Conduct strength-based needs assessments with survivors
- Create and regularly update individualized service plans
- Coordinate with law enforcement and legal advocates
- Accompany survivors to court proceedings and legal appointments
- Advocate for survivor rights and needs with system partners
- Support survivor engagement with criminal justice system
- Other duties as assigned
Direct Client Support:
- Provide trauma-informed crisis intervention and case management
- Conduct regular client check-ins and safety planning
- Connect survivors to emergency and long-term resources
- Coordinate shelter placements and housing assistance
- Build self-advocacy skills through coaching and skill development
- Maintain relationships with law enforcement and service providers
- Participate in case conferences and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Support minor youth who have disclosed trafficking experiences
- Coordinate services for trafficking shelter residents
- Other duties as assigned
Administration:
- Maintain detailed case notes and documentation
- Update client databases and tracking systems
- Complete required program reports and paperwork
- Track outcomes for grant reporting
- Maintain community resource contacts
- Participate in professional development and training
- Collaborate with internal/external service teams
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or related field preferred
- Two years experience as a victim advocate, preferably with trafficking survivors or domestic violence
- Valid Arizona driver's license and reliable transportation
- Current auto insurance with clean driving record (verified annually)
- COVID-19 vaccination with up-to-date boosters as recommended
- Ability to pass extensive background check and maintain fingerprint clearance
- Clear TB test with willingness to update as required
- Minimum age: 21 years

Strong professional boundaries while building trusting relationships
Crisis intervention and safety planning expertise
Understanding of trauma-informed care principles and ability to apply them
Knowledge of trafficking dynamics and survivor-centered approaches
Experience working with law enforcement and criminal justice system
Cultural competency and demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations
Microsoft Office proficiency including Word, Excel, Outlook
Database management experience with attention to accuracy
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with highly sensitive information
Schedule:
Regular weekday hours with frequent evening and weekend flexibility
On-call rotation for after-hours crisis response
Ability to adjust schedule for client needs, court dates, and emergencies
Compensation:
Salary for this position is $24/hr.
