We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing venipunctures and collecting blood samples from patients, ensuring a high standard of patient care and safety. The Phlebotomist will play a crucial role in supporting laboratory operations and patient diagnostics.
Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures to collect blood specimens from patients.
- Ensure the use of aseptic techniques to maintain safety and prevent infection.
- Accurately label and document specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Monitor and record vital signs as needed during the blood collection process.
- Provide excellent patient service by explaining procedures, answering questions, and alleviating concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the phlebotomy area, adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
- Stay updated on medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and laboratory procedures.
Experience
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical laboratory setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to phlebotomy and patient care is essential.
- Familiarity with anatomy knowledge, particularly related to venipuncture sites.
- Strong understanding of patient service principles and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
- Experience with vital signs monitoring is a plus.

Pay: $20.64 - $21.54 per hour
