Our Hope is seeking passionate therapists (LLMSW, LMSW, LLPC, LPC) who are looking to learn and deliver the best and most effective substance abuse and trauma informed interventions. You will receive comprehensive and trauma informed supervision as we work together to strengthen the lives of the clients. Upcoming grads are welcome to apply.

Position Summary :

The Clinical Therapist is responsible for supporting Our Hope Association by performing a variety of duties and projects related to the clinical care of Our Hope clients. This position works as a team to provide the best possible quality clinical care staying within the scope of the profession.

Essential Responsibilities :

  • Facilitates individual and group counseling, didactic and process groups.
  • Assist with client admission and discharge in electronic systems; completes admission, authorization, and discharge paperwork requirements assigned with each funding source.
  • Provide support for carrying out overall program and adherence to house rules, local, state and accreditation regulations and standards.
  • Assist with screenings, referrals, assessments, treatment plans, and daily progress of clients, including case notes, transition plans and discharge summaries.
  • Maintain all files and records in accordance with quality improvement standards; provide accurate and timely documentation (72 hours within treatment service provided).
  • Works with the treatment team in case conference, treatment plan reviews, program planning and interventions.
  • Provide one-on-one formal weekly counseling with individual clients on caseload.
  • Monitor the needs of clients, including inter-agency referrals and follow-up.
  • Prepare weekly program schedule with team members for the development of clients’ social, spiritual, recover, educational and recreational activities.
  • Review and approves clients’ pass requests with team members.
  • Discharge clients and prepares appropriate discharge plans.
  • Conduct educational and informal discussion groups.
  • Participate in employee development and training, including staff meetings, in-service trainings, advanced skill workshops, and continuing education.
  • Assure maintenance of client rights, health, welfare and safety by providing support to all team members.
  • Provide on-call coverage.
  • Maintain all CARF clinical expectations.
  • Maintain all clinical contracts, funding source and fiscal agent guidelines and expectations.
  • Continuously drive and support a healthy and safe culture.
  • Maintain competency in policy rules and regulations.
  • Utilize the Insync EMR (Electronic Medical Record) for client record keeping.
  • Practice and uphold the Our Hope Standards of Excellence and Ethical Codes of Conduct.

Supervision Received :

General Direction : Plans and arranges own work. Uses a wide range of procedures to accomplish assigned objectives.

Supervisory Responsibilities :

No supervision : No supervisory responsibilities.

Education & Experience :

  • Master's Degree specializing in Social Work or Counseling.
  • Experience in chemical dependency and mental health.
  • Limited Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor of Licensed Social Worker with appropriate State of Michigan documentation
  • CAADC certification or active development plan
  • Current certification in First Aid & CPR
  • Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :

  • Good communication skills, decision-making ability, and self-motivation
  • Ability to work with a team milieu approach to treatment of women
  • Knowledge of community resources, 12 Step programs, and evidence-based practices and counseling theories
  • Organizational / time management skills
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Experience with CARF
