Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School is seeking a Middle School Science Florida Certified teacher for the 2025-2026 Academic school year. Applicants must hold or be eligible for a valid Florida Educators certification, be self-motivated and energetic. ESE & ESOL certified a plus. OLL is seeking applicants with knowledge of State Standards, technology integration, and standard-based instruction. Experience in evaluating, documenting, and communicating individual student growth, differentiation strategies, classroom management and willingness to participate in professional development opportunities, a plus. Applicants must be comfortable in a Catholic faith-based setting with a dedication to the OLL's mission.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Organize and direct lessons and activities related to the standards.
· Develop and document weekly lesson plans consistent with curriculum guidelines.
· Provide grade-appropriate instructional program of engaging and interactive activities/lessons for elementary grade levels.
· Maintain high professional standards consistent with the mission of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School and the teachings of the Catholic Church.
· Be responsible for the safety and active supervision of students at all times and for classroom management.
· Assess and document student progress.
· Implement lesson plans, utilizing techniques to motivate, challenge and engage students.
· Interact effectively and respond to all parent communication in a professional, empathetic, and timely manner.
· Participate in faculty meetings, committees, and professional development opportunities.
· Work collaboratively with other teachers, staff, and administration.
· Integrate technology effectively into the classroom.
Requirements
· Bachelor's Degree from an Accredited College or University.
· Teaching experience preferred.
· Requires an appreciation and respect for the Catholic Church and its teachings.
· Employees must conduct themselves in a manner that is consistent with and supportive of the mission and purpose of the church.
· Their public behavior must not violate the faith, morals or laws of the Church or the polices of the Diocese.
