Duties
- Assist in planning and implementing engaging activities for residents in an Assisted Living and Independent Living setting
- Coordinate and facilitate group activities, such as games, crafts, and outings
-Provide one-on-one support and companionship to residents
- Help maintain a clean and organized activity area
- Document resident participation and observations
Must Have:
Knowledge of Word
Knowledge of Power Point
Class E driver license in first 90 days - Must be comfortable driving a Passenger vehicle. This is an important duty in this role.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred, such as activity assistant or caregiver
- Familiarity with Assisted Living and Independent Living environments
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with dementia and or other cognitive impairments
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage schedules and coordinate events
The ideal candidate for this position will have a passion for working with older adults which require various levels of assistance to achieve their highest level of function. They will be compassionate, patient, and creative in their approach to providing meaningful activities. The ability to effectively communicate and build rapport with residents is essential.
Please note that this position's schedule is Tuesday through Saturday from 8:00am- 4:30 pm
