Position: OR Technician (PRN) – Surgery

Location: Slidell, LA (St. Tammany Parish)

At Our Lady of the Lake Surgical Hospital, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care to our patients and fostering a supportive, professional environment for our team members. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled OR Technician (PRN) to join our surgical team.

About the Role

As an OR Technician (PRN), you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our operating room. Your responsibilities will include:

• Safely transporting patients as well as handling and delivering blood products, specimens, X-rays, equipment, and supplies.

• Maintaining a clean and sterile surgical environment to support patient safety.

• Supporting critical patient care duties within the OR suite.

• Managing the sterilization, decontamination, delivery, and distribution of surgical instruments and supplies.

Your work will directly impact our ability to deliver empathetic, high-quality care in a collaborative and innovative environment.

Key Requirements

To thrive in this role, you should meet the following qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of an Accredited Surgical Technology institute.

• Certification: Current certification as a Certified Surgical Technician (CST) is preferred within 120 days of hire. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of CST certification.

• Basic Life Support (BLS): Certification required.
