Job Title: Nonprofit Fundraising Team Lead

Job Description: The Nonprofit Fundraising Team Lead contributes to ONC’s mission of providing nonpartisan news, opinions, and policy solutions by overseeing the day to day operations of the nonprofit fundraising team. The Nonprofit Fundraising Team Lead will delegate tasks to interns and volunteers within the nonprofit fundraising team, assigning responsibilities based on their strengths and expertise. They will provide guidance and support to interns and volunteers, ensuring they have the necessary resources and assistance to excel in their roles. This team lead will actively coach interns and volunteers, fostering their professional development and helping them navigate their responsibilities within the department.The Nonprofit Fundraising Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the grant writing, grant research, and donor outreach processes, directly reporting to the Director of Outreach and Partnerships. This team lead will work closely with the nonprofit fundraising team, Director of Outreach and Partnerships, CFO and COO but some work will be completed independently, therefore, time management is an essential skill for this role.
This position is remote, with work primarily conducted over Zoom and Slack, so applicants must be comfortable coordinating in a remote environment and are expected to maintain a high level of communication. This intern must commit to at least the end of the Fall semester (August 31st, 2025). However, many people choose to extend their internship past the amount of time they initially committed to, provided their performance meets the required standards.

Responsibilities:
Oversee the Nonprofit Fundraising Team at ONC.
Review grant choices, grant research, LOI’s and grant applications before sending for final review from Directors, Editors and COO.
Delegate tasks to interns and volunteers based on their strengths and expertise.
Conducting research on fundraising best practices, donor trends, and potential funding sources.
Qualifications
Requirements:
The Nonprofit Fundraising Team Lead should have the following skills, education, and experience:
Experience in Nonprofit management or fundraising or working towards a degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Finance, Entrepreneurship and/or related fields
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English) are required
Responsive, consistent, and effective communicator, even during conflict
Ability to work remotely and on their own schedule in order to make deadlines
Google Workspace experience required
Experience with data-keeping preferred
Satisfactory organization skills
Ability to keep information confidential
Ability to attend the Organization-Wide meetings every other week
Ability to lead weekly Nonprofit Fundraising team meetings
Must be authorized to intern in the U.S.
