Host/Hostess Responsibilities:

Hosts should be experienced with the culture of our establishment and have extensive knowledge of the tools that we utilize to operate it. Experience with Open Table and the capability to build and maintain reservation books and guest profiles. This individual will preferably have experience interacting with all Front of House positions in a leadership role, but we are open to cross train in all front of house roles.

• Maintaining a hospitable, warm and welcoming demeanor, especially during peak times.
• Building reservations books to effectively accommodate a high volume of guests.
• Ensuring guests information is up to date in our Open Table reservations system. Also, ensuring all guests' notes are reflective of any special occasions, accommodations, or any requests that will enhance our guests' experience.
• Moderate menu knowledge on food and beverage.
• Engaging with guests throughout their experience, refilling water, assisting with table manicuring, resets and dining room upkeep.
• Professionally answering phone calls, thoroughly taking reservations by asking about celebrations, dietary restrictions, seating preferences, etc.
• Providing great customer service.

Host/Hostess Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with all restaurant staff.
• Does high-quality work while unsupervised.
• Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
• Able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food when necessary.
• Willing to follow instructions and ask questions for clarification if needed.
• Restaurant experience a plus.
• Bonus: Experience with Tock and Toast POS software
