Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth dining experience for our guests by supporting the servers and kitchen staff. This position requires strong communication skills and a passion for culinary excellence, as you will be involved in various aspects of food preparation and service.
Duties
- Assist servers in delivering food and beverages to guests promptly and efficiently.
- Bus tables by clearing dishes, utensils, and glassware to maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area.
- Run Food to Guests.
- Help with food preparation tasks in the kitchen, ensuring adherence to food safety and handling standards.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and address any guest needs or concerns.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, to assist guests with their selections.
- Operate the Aloha POS system for order entry and processing when necessary.
- Support the culinary team by helping with basic cooking tasks as needed, ensuring high-quality food presentation.
- Uphold cleanliness standards in both the dining area and kitchen, adhering to health regulations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with guests and team members.
- Basic knowledge of culinary practices, food safety, and handling procedures is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting trays or boxes as needed.
