Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal Intern to support our Legal Department. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in non-profit legal research, document preparation, compliance analysis, and more within a dynamic and mission-driven organization.

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and analysis on a variety of topics, including compliance, legislation, contracts, and regulatory issues.
• Draft, review, and edit legal documents such as contracts, agreements, and internal policies.
• Assist with the preparation of legal memos, reports, and presentations.
• Track current legislation as it relates to human trafficking and child exploitation.
• Support attorneys in case management, including organizing case files and maintaining documentation.
• Attend meetings and take notes on legal discussions, providing summaries and follow-up actions as needed.
• Monitor and summarize recent legal developments, regulations, and case law relevant to the organization.
• Perform administrative tasks to support the legal team, as required.
  
  

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited law school.
• Strong academic record with a focus on legal studies.
• Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
