Our Rescue is an NGO with a mission to end sex trafficking and child sexual exploitation worldwide, while empowering survivors to reclaim their lives and thrive on their healing journey. We partner in this fight with service agencies, law enforcement, governments, and supporters who share our vision of a world free from sex trafficking.

 

Through our three pillars—Education & Prevention, Survivor Care, and Operations—we work with law enforcement agencies globally to identify, arrest, and prosecute traffickers and provide comprehensive care for survivors. We also educate and advocate for public involvement in our mission.

 

 

Position Overview
We are seeking a strategic and innovative Senior Director of Marketing Operations & Digital Marketing to lead and execute a comprehensive digital marketing strategy for Our Rescue. This role will oversee the organization’s digital presence, focusing on paid marketing, donor retention, omnichannel integration, and digital fundraising to drive awareness, acquisition, and engagement.

As a key leader in the marketing team, the Senior Director will mentor a high-performing team, develop strategies that optimize omnichannel campaigns, and use data-driven insights to inform decision-making. The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking leader with deep expertise in digital channels, analytics, and fundraising strategies tailored to the nonprofit sector.

 

 

Key Responsibilities
Omnichannel Strategy & Integration

  • Develop and implement an integrated omnichannel marketing strategy, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints (email, website, social media, paid ads, SMS).
  • Align digital campaigns with broader marketing and organizational goals to create a seamless donor experience.
  • Leverage audience segmentation and data insights to personalize communications across channels.

Digital Fundraising

  • Drive digital fundraising initiatives, optimizing online donation experiences to increase donor acquisition and retention.
  • Develop campaigns that tell compelling stories, fostering donor trust and demonstrating impact.
  • Collaborate with the advancement team to integrate fundraising strategies with donor lifecycle management.

Paid Digital Marketing (Brand, Acquisition & Demand Generation)

  • Plan, execute, and optimize paid digital campaigns (e.g., Google Ads, social media, display ads) to drive donor acquisition, awareness, and demand generation.
  • Develop and execute demand generation strategies to create awareness, drive interest, and generate qualified leads through digital channels.
  • Ensure paid digital strategies reflect the organization’s mission, impact and brand, fostering trust and encouraging deeper donor relationships.
  • Collaborate with the advancement team to align marketing efforts with lead generation goals, ensuring a seamless Major Gift Officer handoff process or donor nurturing process.
  • Use data and insights to continually optimize campaigns for lead quality, cost efficiency, and conversion rates.

  Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead a team of digital marketers and external agencies, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Oversee team to nurture existing donors and increase long-term donor value, focusing on retention and reactivation campaigns.
  • Provide mentorship, define strategic objectives and key team performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure the team delivers impactful campaigns.
  • Partner with the marketing leadership team to align strategies and resources effectively.

Data & Analytics

  • Leverage analytics tools to track and report on the performance of digital marketing efforts, including website, paid digital, email, and donor engagement campaigns.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards to monitor key metrics such as ROI, engagement, and retention rates.
  • Conduct competitive analyses and present actionable insights to improve performance and inform strategy.

Website Strategy

  • Define the website's role within the organization, ensuring alignment with marketing and organizational objectives.
  • Lead the requirements for the technical, editorial, and analytical functionality of the website to optimize donor engagement.
  • Analyze site metrics and implement strategies to improve traffic, conversions, and overall user experience.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including content, creative, and product teams, to ensure cohesive messaging and strategies across all digital channels.
  • Communicate results, challenges, and opportunities with stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in digital marketing and operations, with a focus on paid campaigns, omnichannel strategy, donor retention, and digital fundraising. Ideally 10 years in this field. 
  • Strong experience with tools such as Google Analytics, PPC platforms (Google Ads, Facebook Ads), CRM platforms, and email marketing software.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage high-performing teams in a collaborative, results-driven environment.
  • Expertise in using data and analytics to inform strategy, optimize performance, and measure impact.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize resources effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of nonprofit marketing and digital fundraising strategies.
  • Must live in Minnesota and collaborate closely with the SVP of Marketing & Communications and other senior leaders.

Salary : $125,000 - $175,000
