What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Maintenance position at Our Resorts Team?
Job Title: General Maintenance
- Follow resorts preventive maintenance procedures and guidelines for guestrooms, equipment, public space, grounds, and buildings and swimming pool areas.
- This position will be focused on preventative maintenance.
- Applicants must have an eye for detail, be able to paint and wallpaper.
- Respond to and handle guest requests in a courteous, efficient, safe manner.
- Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.
- Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended.
- Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.
- Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.
- Receive daily work assignments from Director of Resort Facilities and review priorities and special projects.
- Organize materials, tools and equipment to perform daily assignments.
- Maintain timelines and work schedule in accordance with the preventive maintenance program.
- Perform general maintenance to guestrooms and public areas.
- Assist electrician, carpenter, plumber and painter in all phases of repair work.
- Assist other engineering personnel as instructed by supervisor in regards to routine and preventive maintenance.
- Handle chemicals for designated uses/surfaces.
- Ensure security of any assigned keys.
- Assist with any special projects assigned.
- Recommend safety ideas; participates in fire prevention and other life safety programs.
- Perform service to the swimming pool daily, check and record chemical levels, maintain water levels and check pool filters.
- Perform service to all waterfalls keeping free of algae, checking pumps and replace as necessary.
