Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and waxing to maintain the appearance of surfaces.
- Ensure all restrooms and common areas are cleaned, sanitized and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Empty wastebaskets, take garbage to designated area.
- Mop floors, spot clean, occasional setup/takedown tables and chairs for events.
- May be asked to perform other duties.
- Tasks require carrying, walking, bending, standing, climbing stairs, ladder.
- Carry out cleaning duties, adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed to ensure operational efficiency.
- Respond promptly to cleaning requests or emergencies throughout the facility.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; report any shortages or needed repairs.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning preferred.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and waxing is a plus.
- Familiarity with cleaning practices.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently
- Good physical stamina; ability to lift and move heavy items as needed.
- A proactive approach towards maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently, maintain cooperative working relationship.
- Must have reliable transportation
- Attendance and being punctual, arriving to work on time are essential.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.35 per hour
Expected hours: 15 per week
