The food at Corsica will be light and satisfying, influenced by the European coastal villages and islands of the Mediterranean Sea. Much like Barcelona Wine Bar, Corsica will be a small plates focused menu, abundant in high quality ingredients. Simple, ingredient driven and brightly flavored - this is the culinary ethos of both Barcelona Wine Bar and Corsica, just sourcing its inspiration from different regions. Two featured influences to the menu will be the use of a robata grill and shareable pastas with bold flavors.
Harnessing the Barcelona Wine Bar reputation for having one of the most extensive, interesting and exciting wine programs in the country, The wine at Corsica will match the influences of the cuisine featuring the bright, high acid mineral-laden wines of the European islands and coastal Spain, France, Italy, Greece and Portugal. Corsican wines will be a unique jewel of the program. Approximately 200 selections of only Old World wines, as well as a feature selection of fortified, aperitivo style wines (vermouth, sherry, madeira, vino amaros). The cocktails will be elegant and classics-driven, influenced by the amaro, aperitivo and spritz culture of the Mediterranean. A craft frozen cocktail will be available year round. The beer menu will be small and Eurocentric / classic. All glassware will be timeless.
