About This Role :
As a Service Technician your job duties will include, but are not limited to, maintenance of PV solar components, commissioning necessary parts, completing repairs when necessary, performing technical corrective maintenance, electrical wiring and testing, and more. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who has knowledge and experience with technical and electrical maintenance.
Job Responsibilities :
Assist in the commissioning of the solar array and monitoring systems during project installation when neededRespond to corrective maintenance cases on PV inverters, string boxes and solar panels. This includes troubleshooting, testing, and repairing activitiesTroubleshooting Solar (String Inverters, Optimizers and AC Microinverter Systems)Responsible for the preventative and corrective maintenance of Photovoltaic (PV) inverters, string boxes and solar panels and other componentsEnsure that PV systems are setup correctlyAbility to understand or have experience in Electrical Panels including Sub Panels (MBD derate, conduit bending, relocating circuits, etc.)Perform commissioning of inverters and inspection of solar panelsElectrical wiring of solar array / system (AC and DC)Perform voltage testing using appropriate PPE and proceduresPrepare reports, if needed to comply with deliverables in O&M contractsHelp in all areas of preventative and corrective maintenance as directed by manager with minimal supervisionCandidate Qualifications :
2 Years experience with Enphase battery & Tesla PowerwallMust have 2 Years of Solar experienceStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsAbility to handle physical workloadAbility to add or remove panels on solar systemsAble to identify / isolate roof leaksAbility to repair all types of Roofs as well as Ground Mounts if neededAble to read and understand plans, blueprints and CADAbility to understand or have experience with all AHJ guidelines within regionAbility to troubleshoot an inverter that is reporting production lossAbility to understand or have experience with all types of Solar Equipment (Enphase & Powerwall)Travel 100%Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment screening requirements (This role requires a valid Driver's License and clean MVR to drive a company vehicle.)Physical Requirements :
Ability to withstand heights, be on roofs, and climb ladders (Daily)Ability to lift 50-75 lbs. routinely (Daily)Ability to work in -0-100 degree weather, as well as in wet and dry conditionsAbility to move around for prolonged periods. standing, kneeling, bending, Squat and climbing ladders (Daily)
