Job Overview
Ouray County is soliciting letters of interest and resumes for the position of Deputy Emergency Manager. This position works under the direction of the Emergency Manager. This position performs a variety of complex emergency planning, training and exercising for response and recovery to a large-scale emergency or disaster. This position will assist in developing, distributing and providing instructions and guidelines for Ouray County, City of Ouray and Town of Ridgway and industry for disaster planning.
Education and Experience: Associate degree in business or related field from an accredited college or university or certification in emergency management, homeland security or a related discipline. Minimum of (1) years’ experience in emergency management, emergency planning and / or agency coordination is preferred.
Schedule and Compensation: Thirty (30) hours work week. Minimum hourly rate $30.03 to $39.41 - dependent upon qualifications.
