What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pool Manager position at Out Door Country Club?
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for the overall operation of the pool including all programs and activities with the exception of the swim team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Should possess a background in education/teaching, possesses previous management experience in a similar environment.
- Responsible for planning, developing, and implementing swimming and recreation facility programs and services; establish family activities, club and special events, creates schedules for swimming instruction of all age groups.
- Monitors facility operations to assure compliance with state and federal operations and safety guidelines; assures proper training of personnel; monitors facility safety practices; monitors pool water quality and chemical balances through sampling and testing; assures overall quality of pool maintenance.
- Will coordinate the hiring, training, managing and scheduling the lifeguard staff with our Head Lifeguard.
- Responsible for maintaining proper inventory of operation supplies, as well as maintaining record of all income and expenditures; records work hours, and submits time sheets.
- If qualified, will perform as a lifeguard, swimming instructor, and staff trainer.
- Oversee cleaning and pool maintenance and maintain customer relations with pool patrons.
- Oversees the daily opening and closing of the facility.
Qualifications, Experience and Skill Requirements:
- First Aid and CPR certifications
- WSI (Water Safety Instruction)
- CPO (Certified Pool Operation) training
Supervisory Duties: manages the entire lifeguard staff
Working Conditions: extended hours during golf and holiday season, weekends and holidays
