Job Description
In this role, you’ll prepare wood components by sanding them to perfection and applying sanding sealers to meet our high standards. This position requires keen attention to detail, consistency, and a passion for delivering quality work in a fast-paced environment.
What You Will Do:
- Sand wood components in the cabinet shop to ensure a smooth, flawless finish.
- Apply sanding sealers as part of the finishing process.
- Follow all established safety and quality protocols to maintain high production standards.
- Inspect work for quality and precision, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and collaborate with team members.
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment.
- Report equipment malfunctions and safety concerns to management promptly.
- Support the production team with additional tasks as needed.
What You Will Bring:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in cabinetry, woodworking, or construction preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce consistent, high-quality results.
- Basic math skills and the ability to measure materials accurately.
- Experience operating power tools and related equipment.
- Reliable with a proven track record of punctuality and dependability.
- Fluency in English required; bilingual candidates, especially those fluent in Spanish, are encouraged to apply.
- Ability to carefully handle and move wood products.
- Ability pass a pre-employment drug screening.
What You Will Experience:
This role is performed in a cabinet shop and warehouse setting, requiring physical effort and adherence to safety protocols. Reasonable accommodations can be made for individuals with disabilities.
- Regular lifting and carrying of items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Standing or sitting for long periods throughout the shift.
