What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supportive Home Care Supervisor position at Outagamie County?
Reporting to the Division Manager – Adult/Long Term, the Human Services Supervisor – Supportive Home Care directs the activities of the Supportive Home Care Unit. Performs related duties including evaluating staff and program performance, scheduling, providing information regarding services available, developing policies and procedures.

Hours:
Monday through Friday 8AM to 4:30PM with possibilities of comp time
Remote Work: Work from home is allowed after 6 months of employment and is available 1 day per pay period.

The following duties are most critical for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.- Associate degree in a human services field with three to five years human services experience.
- Or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Ability to operate a variety of office equipment including photocopier, fax machine, calculator, etc.
- Ability to assign, supervise, and review the work of others in a timely manner.
- Ability to make recommendations regarding the selection, discipline, and discharge of employees.
- Ability to analyze and resolve work problems or empower employees to solve work problems.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, calculate decimals and percents, and make use of the principles of descriptive statistics.
- Ability to comprehend and interpret a variety of documents including work, mileage, and other reports, training, vacation, and other requests, union contracts, policy and procedure manuals, etc.
- Ability to prepare a variety of documents including performance evaluations, annual reports, policies and procedures, schedules, client files, etc.
- Ability to use and interpret medical terminology relating to geriatrics
- Ability to communicate effectively with Health Services personnel, clients and their families, social workers, public health nurses, home care agencies, and the general public verbally and in writing
- Ability to comprehend and interpret labor agreements and personnel manuals.
