Position Summary:
The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for managing various aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing products, as well as maintaining inventory levels and ensuring the efficient use of warehouse space. The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing daily activities of warehouse associates, ensuring productivity and quality standards are achieved. It is important that the Warehouse Manager work closely with the Director of Operations to co-author and execute strategies centered around achieving operational excellence.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing products.
- Monitor and evaluate warehouse performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions
- Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to team members, ensuring that they are properly trained and knowledgeable about warehouse processes and procedures to comply with company policies and safety regulations
- Manage and maintain accurate inventory records and ensure inventory levels are optimized
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
- Ensure proper distribution of tasks among the team, and manage warehouse workload balance
- Cultivate team engagement and promote a healthy team culture
- Promote the interest of Outback Toys in a manner consistent with vision, mission, business philosophy and Core Values
Position Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute warehouse standard operating procedures (SOPs) that enhance efficiencies and productivity
- Collaborate with Director of Operations to develop and implement advanced operational-centric strategies and initiatives
- Ensure that all warehouse equipment (i.e., forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.) is in working order and that safety protocols are properly followed
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety and cleanliness standards
- Lead regular physical inventory audits and cycle counts of the entire warehouse
- Oversee warehouse and general facilities grounds maintenance on an as needed basis
- Work closely with HR in the areas of seasonal hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management
Requirements:
- 3 years of experience in operations management (preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to operate and co-lead in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving abilities and strategic mindset
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Increased hours during the Holiday Season with occasional Saturday work required
