Job Description:
Join the Foundational Analytics and Wealth Delivery squad as a Senior Data Analyst within Enterprise Data and Information Services (EDIS). This role focuses on building robust enterprise data pipelines to support reporting, analytics, and business insights that drive critical business decisions. The Senior Data Analyst will lead data mapping initiatives, create and enhance complex datasets, and ensure seamless collaboration with business stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own attribution mapping details for data elements, ensuring seamless integration from source systems to target analytics assets such as star marts, hierarchies, and extracts.
- Translate business requirements into detailed mapping documents, building maintainable and reusable code to accelerate delivery.
- Develop and unit test datasets while conducting peer code reviews.
- Mentor and train less experienced business and data analysts.
- Provide continuous improvement ideas to enhance efficiency, reduce expenses, and improve solution quality.
- Assess the technical feasibility of new data solutions, offering design guidance, performance optimization, and insights.
Create and enhance context diagrams and contribute to data models and Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs) for efficient SQL development.
- Provide detailed business rules, transformation logic, and SQL scripts for mapping documents.
- Actively participate in mapping and architecture review sessions, offering critical feedback.
- Demonstrate knowledge of risk management practices in financial data handling.
Required Qualifications:
- Education:
- Master?s Degree with 4 years of data analytics experience, or
- Bachelor?s Degree with 7 years of data analytics experience, or equivalent military/work experience.
- Proficiency in SQL, SAS, and Python.
- Expertise in data mapping and data modeling.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), specifically BigQuery.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira, Confluence, Miro, and Asana.
- Experience working with Wealth systems (e.g., Envestnet, Pershing, GlobalPlus, Omnipay Nextgen).
- Knowledge of automation techniques for data quality validations.
- Experience with Ab Initio and Ab Initio Spectrograph.
- Understanding of APIs and solution orchestration layers.
