Bus Driver- Canoe Hauling
Full time, seasonal position at our Beautiful Rifle River resort in Sterling, MI!
Outdoor Adventures is looking to add new team members to its roster of motivated employees! We are looking for individuals who have experience driving a bus and towing large, and heavy trailers. Our bus drivers set the tone for a fun and safe river ride for our members. We are looking for a friendly face members can trust to help them and can handle the physical nature of loading and unloading canoes.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload canoes
- Drive a bus towing a large capacity trailer.
- Oversee canoe rides for members; serve as a Subject Matter Expert on the Rifle River area to engage those choosing to canoe with us.
- Providing participants with instructions for a safe trip down the river.
- Working with all age groups (children, teens and adults)
- Preparing and cleaning all canoes; ensuring complete sanitization and safety standards are adhered to
- Greet new arrivals and promote other events and activities taking place throughout the park
- Carry out any other reasonable task assigned to you by a manager to meet the operational demands of the resort
Requirements:
- Over 25 years of age
- Valid and current State of Michigan Chauffeurs License
- Ability to pass a background check
- Physical fitness - ability to walk, dance, stand, lift, or meet other physical demands
- Adaptability and strong organization and time management skills
- Patience and compassion when dealing with others
- Flexibility to work when needed, especially evenings, weekends, or early mornings
- Willingness to adhere to and enforce all safety policies and procedures.
