Work Camper

Full time, live on-site in your own RV, work camper position.
This position will not start until May. Work Campers with our organization live on site in their own RV, we do not offer lodging of any type. In addition to your resume submission, please include details about your Rig and the different positions you are interested in. We have openings in Housekeeping, Front Gate/Registration(security), at this location.

AS OUR PERFECT MATCH, YOU:
  • Have worked at a campground, RV park or something similar in your past.
  • Have the desire to live on-site at one of our Resorts.
  • Enjoy being the face of the Resort, greeting guests, both new and returning, as family.
  • Have experience with at least a few of the following tasks:
  • Transporting a trailer to and from the campsite
  • Pumping out a trailer
  • Maintaining landscape, lawn care and gardening
  • Cleaning cabins/hotel rooms/facilities
  • Customer service
  • Retail



This role could include, but is not limited to the following:
  • Welcome Members and Guests; assist in helping them find their site and be a point-of-contact while they are staying with us.
  • Maintain Resort appearance
  • Respond to afterhours Member needs
  • Follow and enforce all Membership rules
  • Moving trailers for storage
  • Resort specific tasks such as: general store assistance, housekeeping, security and activities.



Holiday weekends, evenings and a minimum of 35 hours per week is expected of anyone hired to this position. Only those individuals (and a spouse) hired to work are allowed to stay on the assigned site.


PAY RANGE and BENEFITS

This role will pay state minimum wage, there will be a cost of $50 per week for the site (or $200 a month). All campers kept on site must be in good working condition with original design or professional grade alterations. No homemade or DIY trailers. No decks, sheds or additional permanent structures allowed on sites.

  • Grand Haven - Grand Haven Resort is located just minutes from Lake Michigan and downtown Grand Haven (Coast Guard City USA). 226 total campsites and 17 rental sites.
  • Kalamazoo - With campsites, rental units, a fishing pond, three lakes, a creek, wildlife, and more, you are bound to enjoy your time at Kalamazoo Resort. 225 total campsites and 19 rental sites.
  • Lake Shore - With a beach area and snack bar, indoor and outdoor pools, water park with a lazy river & splash pad and wading pool, fitness center, recreation facilities, planned activities and entertainment, Lake Shore offers fun and relaxation for the entire family. 578 total campsites and 96 rental sites.
  • Lake of the North - Lake of the North Resort and Campground is located on beautiful Lake George near the historic city of West Branch. 99 total campsites and 2 rental units.
  • Mt. Pleasant - Mt. Pleasant Resort can be found just a couple of miles down the road from the city of Mount Pleasant, which is home to Central Michigan University, Soaring Eagle Casino and Entertainment Complex, and so much more. 150 total campsites and 11 rental units.
  • Rifle River - Rifle River Resort Campground offers a beautiful, quiet, and secluded setting in the Saginaw lowlands of eastern Michigan. 162 total campsites and 3 rental units.
  • Saginaw Bay - Located about 130 miles north of Detroit, Saginaw Bay Resort features spacious shaded campsites, rental cabins and nature trails in an area boasting some of the best fishing and hunting in northern Michigan. 388 total campsites and 20 rental units.
  • Wilderness - Wilderness RV Resort and Campground has a quiet, peaceful atmosphere with plenty of wildlife to enjoy, located just off of M-13. 210 total campsites and 4 rental units.
