POSITION SUMMARY

As a Laborer you will provide physical labor tasks and support operations on a work site. Under direct supervision, you will be expected to safely operate machinery and be responsible for its maintenance and upkeep. You will assist skilled trades as needed and load and unload deliveries to the work site. In addition, you will maintain a safe job site by removing any hazards. In the event you fail to report to work without any notification to your supervisor we will consider you to have abandoned your job and voluntarily quit.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

• Cleans, lubricates, readies, or puts away equipment/tools as assigned, maintains work sites free from debris and dirt

• Closely follows directions to operate machinery, hold or supply materials and tools, and load or unload items on machinery and at work sites as identified by supervisor

• Operates a wide variety of equipment/tools such as shovels, rakes, etc

• Performs any unskilled job at the work site

• May be trained to act as equipment operator when the normal operator is out.

• Assists skilled workers as assigned

• Under the guidance of a job instructor, works as a helper to learn basics of the trade

• Adheres to local, state, federal, and company safety codes and guidelines

• Reports any issues to supervisor or higher-level employee

• Performs other related duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Preferred not required)

• Valid California Driver’s License & Clean Driving Record (Preferred)

• Experience working with team members across multiple functional roles (Preferred)

• Fluency in English (Preferred)

• Job training for this position is provided by Crew Lead

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to spend prolonged periods of time standing and walking

• Must be able to lift and move up to 80 lbs regularly

• Manual dexterity as needed to operate a variety of machinery and equipment

• Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises and smells associated with work sites

• Perform work with OSHA required PPE

BENEFITS

• One week Paid Time Off per calendar year, starts accruing after 90 days of employment
