Job Title: Screen Print Lead

Reports To: Department Supervisor

Location: On-Site in Grandview, MO

Job Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt, 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 4pm

Job Overview:

As our Screen Print Lead, you will oversee aspects of the screen-printing process, from set-up to production, ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency. This role involves overseeing a team of screen printers, maintaining equipment, and optimizing workflows to meet production goals. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of screen-printing techniques, strong leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional results.

Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership:
• Lead and mentor a team of screen printers, providing guidance and support to ensure effective performance.
• Train new employees in screen printing techniques, equipment operation, and safety procedures.
• Schedule and assign tasks to team members to maximize productivity and meet deadlines.
• Production Management:
• Oversee the entire screen-printing process, including preparing screens, mixing inks, and setting up presses.
• Monitor production quality and troubleshoot any issues that arise during printing.
• Ensure that all printed products meet client specifications and company quality standards.
• Equipment Maintenance:
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on screen printing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Coordinate with the maintenance team for more complex repairs and equipment upgrades.
• Maintain an organized and clean workspace, adhering to safety protocols.
• Process Optimization:
• Evaluate and improve screen printing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
• Implement best practices and stay updated on industry trends and technologies.
• Collaborate with the production manager to plan and execute workflow improvements.
• Quality Control:
• Conduct regular inspections of printed products to ensure consistency and high quality.
• Develop and implement quality control procedures and standards.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
• Work overtime as department workload requires.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in Screen Printing – 2 years preferred.
• Physical agility and stamina for repetitive standing, walking, reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting, and stacking for entire shift.
• Physical ability to operate a screen print machine for entire shift.
• Physical ability to lift up to 60 lbs. repeatedly for entire shift.
• Ability to tolerate extreme temperatures during winter and summer seasons.
• Expertise in screen printing techniques, color matching, and equipment operation. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with screen printing equipment, inks, and materials. Ability to perform basic equipment maintenance and repairs.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of the printing process.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.50 - $21.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
