Job Summary:
OEG is looking for a Landscape Architect to join our team. The Landscape Architect will be an integral member of our collaborative Landscape Architect team to create, develop, and execute designs for truly distinctive outdoor spaces per client request. Landscape Architect utilizes design software to create plans. Landscape Architects will create construction estimates and client proposals; identify, select and coordinate vendors and material, and act as internal quality control to ensure a superior product is delivered to our clients.
Duties/Responsibilities:
-Site analysis: Conducting thorough assessments of existing site conditions, including topography, soil types, drainage, sunlight exposure, and vegetation. Ensure proper survey and layout data are taken for project design.
-Conceptual Design: Developing design concepts that meet client needs and site constraints, incorporating elements like pathways, planting beds, water features, and outdoor structures through team Charette.
-Detail Design: Producing detailed plant species based on climate, soil conditions, desired aesthetics, and maintenance requirements. Develop of AutoCAD plans based on conceptual design, and the creation of graphic presentations for client communication.
-Plan Selection: Choosing appropriate plant species based on climate, soil conditions, desired aesthetics, and maintenance requirements. . Identify, select, and coordinate materials, vendors, and subcontractors.
-Project Management: Overseeing the construction process, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring project compliance with design specifications.

-Client Consultation: Meeting with clients to understand their needs, present design proposals, and address concerns throughout the project.
-Sustainability Considerations: Incorporating environmentally friendly practices like water conservation and native plant selection into designs.
Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Confidence in hand and computer-generated graphics
- Proficient in AutoCAD/2D drafting and 3D modeling software (Sketchup), Adobe Suite
- Knowledge of Planting Specification & Design, Standard Construction Details & Industry means/methods, preferred
- Must be willing to engage in client communications and interaction
- Eager to learn and develop new skills, including budgeting and estimation
- Desire to work as part of a dynamic team and develop personal and team goals
- Creative problem-solving skills and critical thinking
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in landscape architecture, architecture, or design field
3-7 years’ experience in Landscape Architecture or design firm, preferred
Landscape Architecture license, preferred
Physical Requirements:
Frequent sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Frequently operates a computer and other office machinery
Frequent walking, standing, climbing stairs, squatting on uneven terrain
Must be able to occasionally move up to 15 pounds
Frequent work outdoors and subject to extreme heat/cold and other weather elements.
