OEG is looking for a Nursery & Procurement Manager to lead and guide the day-to-day operations of our plant nursery and Procurement department by working directly with Project Managers, Landscape Architects, vendors and our nursery staff, to deliver and ensure the best maintenance, organization, cost and accurate PO management. Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Supplier Management: Identify and evaluate potential landscaping suppliers based on quality, price, reliability, and delivery capabilities. Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors to secure favorable pricing and delivery terms. Monitor supplier performance regarding on time delivery, quality control, and compliance with company standards. Forecast demand for landscaping materials based on project schedules and seasonal fluctuations. 
• Plant Health: Manage plant health and cultivation, including recommending and implementing solutions for issues like pests and diseases. Oversee staff assignments, schedules and train staff on visual appeal. Oversee plant inventory including forecasting demand and maintaining breeding records. Oversee small group of nursery staff.
• Facility Management: Oversee the nursery building, equipment, and facility, including coordinating maintenance and repairs. Opening the nursery in the morning and closing at the end of the business day . Hiring and training nursery staff. Ordering stock, including soil, stones, fertilizers, shrubs, plants, flowers and trees. Monitoring watering times, soil conditions and plant positions. Monitoring weather conditions and paying special attention to hot or cold temperatures. Responding to field operations personnel requests and and assisting the nursery staff. 
• Purchase Order Management: Review and process purchase orders materials, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications. Research types of materials and various vendors to ensure high quality and client satisfaction. Provide PO administration and invoicing support. Track all field related purchases inspections, field documentation, submittals and RFL's, making copies reviewing and following up with subcontractors or material suppliers to ensure the proper documents are received. Update items in they system when needed so that it is available for review by Field Operations. Other duties as assigned. 

Requirements

• Education: Degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Plant Science or equivalent experience.
• Experience:  Minimum 2-3 years experience with landscape/construction industry purchasing/procurement.  Extensive knowledge of plant materials required. Managing and Processing POs. Vendor Pricing Solicitations/Bid Leveling.
• Software Proficient: Experience with Boss or equivalent system would be a plus. Excel, Word, Google suit.
• Licenses:  Valid Driver License. Indiana Applicators License 3A and 3B Pesticide License. 
• Work Ethic & Attitude: Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and approach to overcoming challanges. Excellent analytical, proven-solving skills. Ability to work in fast-paced environments and manage multiple priorities. Job 100% onsite. (Bilingual/Spanish a plus).
