Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Territory Manager to oversee and grow sales within Maryland, Delaware, and Northern Virginia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in outdoor power equipment, exceptional relationship-building skills, and a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals. This role is responsible for driving revenue, expanding the customer base, and providing top-tier support to dealers and customers within the assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales & Business Development:
- Develop and execute a territory sales plan to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow market share.
- Work closely with dealers to promote outdoor power equipment and related products.
- Dealer Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing dealers to drive loyalty and sales.
- Train and educate dealers on product features, benefits, and best sales practices.
- Assist dealers in developing marketing strategies and promotional campaigns to increase sales.
- Market Analysis & Reporting:
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs within the territory.
- Provide regular reports on sales performance, market opportunities, and challenges.
- Collect and share dealer feedback to inform product development and marketing strategies.
- Product Knowledge & Support:
- Serve as the product expert for outdoor power equipment, providing technical and sales support.
- Conduct product demonstrations and training for dealers and end users.
- Assist with warranty claims, service issues, and customer concerns as needed.
- Event Participation:
- Represent the company at trade shows, dealer open houses, and other industry events.
- Host and organize product launches, demos, and training sessions.
Qualifications
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of sales experience, preferably in outdoor power equipment or a related field.
- Proven track record of managing a sales territory and achieving sales goals.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Proficiency in CRM tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales reporting software.
- Ability to conduct technical product demonstrations and training.
- Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory (up to 75% travel).
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
