Outdoor Escapes of Iowa is a small business in Ames, IA with projects in several communities in the Central Iowa area. We are professional, agile and our goal at Outdoor Escapes is to focus on commercial and residential landscaping including landscape design and installation, tree care, plant design, land clearing, and mulch; and snow removal, so there are year-round opportunities!.

Outdoor Escapes of Iowa is looking for individuals to join their 2024 landscape team! We are looking for hardworking individuals who are motivated and enjoy working for a solid reputable company and great people. No required experience. Wage is competitive with current market and will be based on experience.

Roles Responsibilities:

• Supervise a crew of 4-5 Seasonal Laborers to finish daily tasks
• Grading and site work as required
• Plant material install
• Review and understand site drawings , plans, and vision of the project
• Coordinate staff, materials, tools, and equipment needed for installs
• Communicate to customers, vendors, galvanize the crew to accomplish daily tasks
• Other tasks required by owner

Qualifications:

• The ability to read, understand, and communicate plan drawings and specifications
• Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions
• The ability to lift more than 80 lbs consistently
• Must be able to set elevations with a transit
• Must be able to grade within 1/10th"
• Must be able to read and follow grade stakes
• Must have Class A CDL, with a clean driving record
• 3 year's of experience managing and installing landscape and hardscape projects with a portfolio of work
• 3 years of experience operating skid steers, Excavators, Mini Skid Steers, Concrete Saws, Etc.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 – 55 per week
