High Trek Summer day camp counselor
Spring/Summer 2025 - High Trek Adventures located in Paine Field Community Park is currently seeking applicants for the position of Summer Camp Counselor. This position requires outgoing, adventurous, and safety conscious individuals. Our camp counselors will be responsible for communicating, watching, guiding, overseeing and working with our campers. High Trek summer camp goals are to facilitate learning in fun and creative ways while ensuring a safe environment for campers in various camps throughout the summer. Our Counselors will go above and beyond to encourage and inspire, work with fellow staff and become an integral part of the High Trek team. This is an active outdoor position that can either be a full time or part time position.
Position: Summer Camp Counselor
- Starting wage $17.00 - $19.00/hr
- Job Type: Full time/Part time
Responsibilities Include:
- Supervise groups of children up to 10 per group
- Setting up for camp in the AM
- Cleaning up after camp in the PM
- Facilitate camp activities
- Provide leadership and supervision during activities
- Give safety instructions and provide a safe environment for youth to learn while having fun
- Maintain grounds for the Ropes Course site
- Counselors may have the opportunity to be cross trained in other areas of the business, if desired
- Other duties as assigned
The ideal candidate will be:
- 16 years of age or older
- Team player who is willing to pitch in and help out wherever needed
- High energy and passion for working with kids
- Passionate about working as an integral member of the High Trek team
- First aid/CPR certification a bonus
- Adaptable to group dynamics with the ability to change an activity to meet the group needs
- Prompt and reliable
- Ability to climb in our ropes course to assist campers
- Candidates will possess the ability to pass a background check
Work Environment:
High Trek Adventures is an Adventure park with multiple areas of business. We are a fast-paced, physical, social, and team oriented work environment. The majority of the work is conducted in climates from 40 degrees Fahrenheit to 90 degrees Fahrenheit, in the wind, rain and sun.
Training:
High Trek Camp counselors will have a week of training prior to the start of camp.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
