What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Labor / Landscaping position at Outdoor Lighting Perspectives of SW Michigan?
Part to full time - guarantee of 24 hours a week, could exceed 40 in busy times
- Working with a shovel
- Assembling lights and mounting them in prescribed locations
- Speaking with the customer to upsell other products
- Provide customer with system orientation as applicable
- Proper care and operation of company vehicles
- Ensuring there are proper inventory levels
- Running and burying low voltage wiring in landscape areas and lawns
- Mounting transformers and connecting wire runs
- Clean up of all areas affected by the installation
- Providing direction and/or assistance to other installers when applicable
- Speaking with clients to inform and educate them about additional products and services available
- Has a driver's license with a clean driving record (no moving violations or accidents in the last three years)
- Makes a good first impression by being well-groomed, articulate, personable, and comfortable meeting new people
- Enjoys interacting with customers with respect and integrity
- Above-average technical ability
- Attention to detail and respect for our customer's property
- Systematic in their approach
- Proactive, problem solver
- Strong sense of pride and integrity in work product
- Enjoys working outside, and having fun!
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ideal candidate should have varied computer experience.
- Will train the right candidate.
