Job Summary : The Production Manager plays a critical role in driving safety, quality, and efficiency in Outdoor Pride Landscaping's field operations. They assist in managing all enhancement projects in their division - scheduling as well as directing personnel and resources towards providing quality, cost-effective maintenance, and enhancement services to clients. Supervisory Responsibilities : The Productions Manager will be responsible for training and developing the individuals reporting to them by providing day-to-day operational scheduling and guidance. They also support the Area and Enhancement Managers as needed and often take an active role working with the crews. Duties / Responsibilities : Builds and develops an outstanding production team and supporting a team environment. Ensures client satisfaction through effective communication, relationship building and regular site visits to assigned accounts. Trains on and strictly enforces all safety procedures and policies by means of weekly safety meetings with attendance records submitted to HR. Develops employees and meet regularly with them to provide feedback. Ensures all crews within the division have a plan daily and are working productively. Schedules all crews within division on Aspire Holds employees accountable to schedules, start times and company policies. Oversees crew leader and crew-member industry training and certification. Identifies and develops high performing crew members into crew leaders. Identifies opportunities to improve operations and best approach for implementation. Recruit employees as needed during the season. Fiscally responsible and accountable to budget. Must ensure that goals are met, and budgets are followed. Approves direct reports payroll and time off requests. Active role in snow operations at a dedicated site / area : Snow Areas of responsibility : Inspect all equipment and other items including but not limited to ice melt, salt, fuel, shovels, maps, etc prior to the season and event to ensure site is prepared. Attend pertinent snow operations meetings including site trainings and walkthroughs. Communicate via call / text with equipment operators and subcontractors to prepare them for impending storms, set start times and relay storm operation plan. Facilitate all operations on site including equipment and shoveling to keep assigned site(s) safe and accessible for clients at all times. Assist in orchestrating the efficient and timely use of sub-contractors. Re-allocate equipment in event of shortages. Actively engage in field ops including, outdoors training and performing all tasks required of crew members : shoveling, placing ice melt, plowing areas to ensure safety of the property. Track time, material, subcontractors time and detailed notes on operations throughout storm. Continue to communicate plan and check in with entire team throughout event. Ensure services meet and exceed the company standards with regular site inspections during and after weather events as well as between events prior to client arriving. Understand and make sure the entire team on site follows site, company, and safety policies as well as company standard operating procedures. Submit timesheets, damages, equipment needs, materials and fuel status, subcontractor paperwork and anything else required prior to leaving the site. Assists in duties and objectives as administered by the Area Manager Seeks out relevant certifications and licensing within the industry as directed. Maintains an active knowledge and understanding of current industry standards and trends. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Skills / Abilities : Valid driver's license. 5 years of landscape experience including 3 years as a crew leader (flexible based upon other qualifications). Basic Microsoft Office skills (including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) or a willingness to develop. Knowledge (or willingness to develop) of Aspire Estimating and Time Software. Management and training experience. Knowledge of local turfs, shrubs, groundcover, and seasonal color including growth characteristics, appropriate maintenance techniques, and most common issues. Customer and quality focus. Effective communication skills (both verbal and written). Team oriented. High integrity leader who commands respect. Interest and capability in developing people. Education and Experience : Accreditation and state licenses as directed from Area Manager. High school diploma or GED required. Associate Degree or Vocational Certification. Valid driving license and good driving record is required. Obtain relevant industry certifications within 12 months (MCLP & ASM). Physical Requirements : Often lilting a minimum of 50 lbs. repeatedly through an entire work shift. Shifts can include walking, standing or sitting for long periods of time Fast paced environment. Work outdoors in various conditions including heat, humidity, rain, dust, noise, cold, snow and icy conditions. Flexible working hours including occasional weekend / night work during the landscape and snow seasons. Ability to work longer hours and irregular hours during the snow season. This role will be based out of the Newington / Seacoast Branch
