The Outdoor Wisconsin Leadership School is looking to hire a chef for several dates this coming Summer and Fall. We house a full industrial kitchen. Hours will be 10-40 hours of work and our season falls between July 1 and October 19.
Responsibilities include:
- Cooking and preparing meals from customer-chosen menu choices.
- Serving meals for groups sized anywhere between 10-140, buffet style, on time
- Leadership of kitchen assistants and their duties (assistant provided for meals for over 30)
- Cleaning kitchen, cafeteria, and dishes after meal service
- Carrying for yourself in a professional manner
- Catering to dietary needs of customers
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a kitchen environment
- Strong food handling and service skills
- Background in the food industry with restaurant or catering experience
- Proficient skills and meal preparation techniques
- Experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is a plus
- Knowledge of menu planning
- Catering and serving groups from 30-70 people preferred
The pay rate is determined by experience in the field.
