What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pool Technician Trainee / Apprentice position at Outer Banks Blue?
Great opportunity to learn how to balance chemicals in pools and hot tubs, maintainence and repairs.
*Two days/week (Saturdays and Tuesdays), potential for Sundays & Wednesdays, as well.*
Great learning and gig opportunity for recent grads or Local College Students, but open to anyone who is interested in learning the trade.
Assistant/Trainee will need reliable transportation (preferably a truck for hauling chemicals/equipment) and valid drivers license.
-Ability to report to work at Kitty Hawk main office location mandatory, then travel to vacation homes from Corolla to South Nags Head to clean and check/balance chemicals.
-Obtained Certified Pool Operator status with current certification, PREFERRED but NOT REQUIRED. We will train the right candidate.
-Gain Intimate knowledge of pool/spa operations with a goal of growing the business.
-Ability to lift at least 50 pounds without difficulty is a requirement.
-Positive attitude with background in customer service.
-Excellent communication skills.
-Ability to take ownership of surrounding pool and spa areas (straightening chairs, throwing away stray trash, etc.).
-Work closely with the Property Services Manager.
-No conflict of interest with additional pool/spa jobs “on the side.”
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Pay: $120.00 - $150.00 per day
Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
