Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance Instructor who is enthusiastic about teaching various dance styles, particularly ballet, to students of all ages. Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse skill levels of students.
- Instruct students in ballet techniques, choreography, and performance skills.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and growth.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their skills.
- Organize and participate in dance recitals and performances to showcase student achievements.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to discuss student development and address any concerns.
- Maintain classroom management to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
- Incorporate elements of childhood development into lessons to enhance the learning experience for young dancers.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in dance instruction, particularly in ballet; additional styles are a plus.
- Background in early childhood education or special education is highly desirable.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage and motivate students effectively.
- Experience working with children, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding of their developmental needs.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles to create age-appropriate lesson plans.
- Creative skills such as photography or sewing may be beneficial for enhancing class activities or performances.
- A passion for dance and a commitment to fostering a love for the art form in students.
