Main Purpose and Major Challenges of the Role
Outerknown is looking for a Temporary Digital Graphic Designer who is based in North County San Diego or Southern Orange County, but willing to travel to the current headquarters in Culver City to train and when needed. Outerknown Headquarters will be moving to North County San Diego in April and then the role will be expected to be in office 3 days a week. This role will be working 40 hours a week for approximately 14 weeks.
The Temporary Digital Graphic Designer oversees all aspects of the digital experience. They work directly with the Copywriter and Digital Marketing to create a meaningful digital experience. These experiences promote thoughtful and educational product experiences, elevate the customer journey, use engaging storytelling, and inspire the consumer. They play a key role in orchestrating a customer-centric journey, platform innovation, and educating others on design thinking and digital best practices. They are passionate about digital design, dedicated to quality, and have a creative mindset.
ACCOUNTABILITY:
Digital Responsibilities
· Responsible for the design and execution of all email communication
· Responsible for designing all assets for the website, including refreshing the homepage on a bi-weekly calendar, monthly refresh of Narvar, menu, category reels, category bubbles and site features including seasonal stories, big ideas, homepage takeovers and landing pages
· Designs all social media assets and paid digital ads
· Layout of Journey Stories
· Assist with SMS campaigns
· Create high fidelity design (prototypes, comps, animations, final deliverables, etc.) to ensure quality of work and to communicate the intent and details of the final experience.
· Develop concepts and ideas from the ground up, and create compelling, relevant, and meaningful work
