What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Project Manager position at Outform Group Career Center?
The Production Project Manager is responsible for managing both temporary and permanent display projects/jobs initiated from our Sales team and lead by our Project Managers. It is the Project Manager’s responsibility to disseminate the information from Sales and lead the project/job from beginning to end.
Responsibilities
- Prepare project specifications from the information received from sales (requirement gathering, materials needed, setting expectations, timelines, budget)
- Manage all project/jobs concurrently including project planning, budget, execution, timing, functionality, quality, cost, communication, and documentation
- Responsible for managing all aspects of both temporary and permanent display project/jobs ranging from small to large in scope.
- Responsible for ordering and purchasing of all the materials needed in the timeframe required for the project/job.
- Act as liaison between key areas (purchasing, engineering, and manufacturing). This includes documenting all orders for the plant and work directly with engineering on drawings so they understand what is needed from the engineers and be able to interpret it to the manufacturing group where they will manufacturer and make the display.
- Oversee all aspects of process, shipping and receiving as it related to the project/job to ensure project/job goals and requirements are met.
- Prepare invoices and margin reports during and upon completion of a job.
- Ensure quality of the job is in line with client expectations and communicate those traits to the QC team.
- Finalizing and uploading Bills of Materials (BOM)
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of Project Management experience in a manufacturing environment required.
- Strong time management and budgeting skills is a must.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline oriented environment.
- Strong written and communication skills
- Proficient in Excel and Outlook
- Smartsheet knowledge a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Knowledgeable in various materials and manufacturing processes including:
○ Corrugated packaging
○ Die cutting
○ Printing
○ Vacuum forming
○ Plastic fabrication
○ Finishing- painting, plating, powder coating
○ Experience with domestic and international shipping
