What are the responsibilities and job description for the Painter/Laborer position at Outlaw Conversions?
Outlaw Conversions is seeking experienced wood painter/finisher who can effectively multi-task in fast pace manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate should be able to work independently or as a team to finish projects in a safe and efficient manner. Must be able to work with great concentration and precision; keen eye for detail, meet production deadlines, and keep mistakes (rework) to a minimum. Be able to ensure a safe working environment by conforming to all safety guidelines including, but not limited to, wearing required personal protective equipment and passing the respiratory screening test. The goal is to produce high quality painted/finished cabinets, drawers, doors, and other wood material critical to the production line. Position requires constant standing, walking, bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, and grasping. Position requires occasional lifting up to 100lbs.
Primary Job Duties
- Be able to finish high quality custom cabinetry/woodwork in a timely fashion. Be familiar with lacquer, staining, painting, color matching, and glazing at a production pace
- Be able to set up and maintain all work equipment safely and efficiently
- Be responsible for the safe storage of flammable chemicals, products, and finishes that are used in the shop. Know the location of SDS sheets for all these items
- Be attuned to the plant’s quality standards and confident and willing to stop sub-standard piece in production
- Ability to perform physically demanding work on a consistent basis, including lifting 100 pounds
- Be responsible to self by wearing PPE & RPE at all times; specially when handling spray paint materials
- Must have demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to safety on the production floor
Required
- Previous experience as a painter/finisher
- Skill in using appropriate tools and equipment
- Conscientious and great attention to detail
- Ability to stand for 8-12 hour shift
- Ability to lift up to 100lbs
- Pass physical requirements

Preferred
- Experience in working in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in staining, finishing, enameling
- Experience in using HVLP/ LVLP equipment
- Experience in working in spray booth

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
