Responsibilities
- Operate cash registers and point-of-sale (POS) systems efficiently to process customer transactions.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Perform retail math calculations to manage cash handling and ensure accurate financial transactions.
- Demonstrate product knowledge through engaging product demos to enhance customer interest and drive sales.
- Upsell products and services by identifying customer needs and suggesting appropriate solutions.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area while ensuring all merchandise is properly displayed.
- Assist in supervising junior staff members when necessary, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Adhere to company policies regarding phone etiquette when handling customer calls or inquiries.
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashier roles is preferred.
- Proficiency in basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Familiarity with cash registers and POS systems is advantageous.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English; bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on providing excellent customer service.
- Experience in upselling techniques is a plus, along with the ability to conduct engaging product demonstrations.
