GENERAL SUMMARY:
Location: Jackson, Michigan
Shift: Contingent
The Pharmacist is responsible for dispensing drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners and provide information to patients about medications and their use. May advise physicians and other health practitioners on the selection, dosage, interactions, and side effects of medications.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Demonstrates the ability to manage pharmacy distributive systems.
- Demonstrates principles of pharmaceutical care by assuming responsibility for patient therapy outcomes.
- To ensure achievement of desired patient and healthcare organizational outcomes, quality and promotes efficient utilization of resources.
- Demonstrates the integration of regulatory, legal, and ethical decision making in professional practice.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy
- Doctor of Pharmacy Preferred
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
- Valid State of Michigan Pharmacist and Controlled Substance License.
