UVA Outpatient Imaging Culpeper is seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic, compassionate individual who is a strong communicator to join an energetic, patient-focused team! Are you passionate about patient care? Do you love interacting with people? Come and join our team as a PRN Business Office Specialist working shifts (as needed) Monday - Saturday hours, with a primary need for Fridays from 11:00am - 9:00pm & Saturdays from 8:00am - 8:00pm.

The Business Office Team is responsible for collaborating and leading the Imaging Center team in providing excellent patient care and supporting the operational goals for both the Center and the organization. This includes all customer and patient-facing responsibilities including welcoming, registering, and overall patient coordination, as well as phone correspondence, scheduling appointments, inventory, and medical record management. The upper levels of this series also include the training, supervision, and management of Business Office team members. The overall scope for this series is designed to ensure the management and resources are available to maintain a quality, high functioning, and customer friendly Outpatient Imaging Center.

Requirements

EDUCATION:

• To be competitive, must have high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  
  
  

Efficiently manage patient registration processes:

• Ensure accurate and timely collection of patient information
• Handle insurance verification and authorization procedures
• Collaborate with the billing department to resolve any issues
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations
  
  
  

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a healthcare registration or business office role
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including Fridays 11am - 9pm and Saturdays 8am - 8pm
• Proficiency in using computer systems and medical software
