JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE: We seek a dedicated and compassionate Dual Diagnosis Therapist to join our Contingency Management Program team. The ideal candidate will specialize in treating individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders (primarily stimulant use disorders), utilizing evidence-based practices to promote recovery and well-being. This role will report directly to the Lead Psychotherapist and heavily collaborate with our SUD Therapist and Peer Support Specialist. This role is eligible for STAR-LRP participation, which will pay up to $200,000 of student loans over the course of 6 years. https://bhw.hrsa.gov/funding/apply-loan-repayment/star-lrp
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Complete comprehensive dual diagnosis assessments to evaluate mental health and substance use disorders in clients.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that integrate evidence-based practices for both mental health and substance use.
- Implement a Contingency Management program to encourage positive behavior change and treatment adherence through incentives.
- Provide Individual and Group Therapy sessions using evidence-based modalities.
- Completes required documentation of services, following all agency, state and local regulations/requirements
- Document client interactions and treatment progress accurately and in a timely fashion.
- Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, and clinical supervision
- Facilitates referrals to other needed services and/or levels of care
- Provides crisis prevention and supportive counseling as needed
- Provides on-call duties as assigned
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Requires a master's degree in a job-related major, passage of the APSW Board Exam or and National Counselor Examination (NCE) and receipt of a training license(APSW or LPC-IT).
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Licensed as an Advanced Practice Social Worker (APSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor in Training (LPC-IT).
