Outreach is hiring a Part-time Client Database Specialist at the Outreach Central Office to support Outreach’s Data Department and Clinical Programs through data management and reporting goals in order to measure impact, support decision making and good stewardship, and increase transparency, accountability, and efficiency.

Responsibilities:
- The Client Database Specialist is the major primary contributor to develop and implement a data warehouse for the counseling program that makes data highly available and modernizes the current processes for accessing data across the organization.
- The Client Database Specialist will be able to develop and utilize their skills as a database administrator, flex their skills of data querying and translation, and work through current toolsets that help achieve data access.
- The Client Database Specialist will assist with system administration, policy and procedure development, software maintenance and integration, security/data integrity, data analysis and forecasting, reporting, and effectively training and collaborating with program & services team members.
- The Client Database Specialist reports to the Director of Data and collaborates with the Senior Clinical Officer and data team.
- Schedule: Part-time at 20 hours/week. Flexible schedule with options for a four or five day week.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 2-5 years of database administration experience.
- Strong background in working with databases, managing large datasets, managing enterprise database systems (Oracle, MS SQL, Postgresql), and managing applications that require careful and nuanced decisions about securely providing access to the data.
- Proficiency in visualizing data through charts, graphs, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to perform effective and productive research.
- Previous procedure and system development experience.
- Past experience with electronic health records and HIPPA compliance is a plus.
- An understanding of data classification, data governance, and data stewardship will also contribute to success in this role.
- Proficiency in MS Office with intermediate to advanced skill in Microsoft Excel.
