We are Outreach, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of Gloo, the largest church communication company in the world. We design, produce and market products that equip church leaders around the globe.
URGENT! The core mission of the Senior Print Finishing Technician is to immediately assist the Production Supervisor in ensuring the efficient daily manufacturing operation; operates, tests, and monitors the assigned equipment according to established guidelines. Experienced in bindery and finishing production functions, ideally working on perfect bound books.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Troubleshoots print finishing control panels, error lights, and messages to ensure proper equipment function.
- May communicate with equipment technicians relating to highly complex issues.
- Verifies equipment data for reporting. Supports and assists with the installation of operating equipment.
- Confirms quality control checks throughout the processes; Confirms the accuracy of packaging and labels.
- Drives the highest productivity levels through the goal/expectation setting of minimal outputs (with units per hour reference).
- Works closely with all functional areas as necessary to ensure that the production plan fulfills customers’ productivity and quality requirements.
- Keeps the necessary managers and supervisors informed of any changes or urgencies in project requests or status that may be compromised.
- Communicates with department managers for shift priorities, including but not limited to Print, Bindery/Finishing, Mailhouse, and Fulfillment/Warehouse.
- Able and willing to work overtime hours, longer days and weekends when needed.
- Available to work 2-10 PM shift during busy seasons.
Requirements

- Experience with Horizon BQ470 and Challenger CMT130 a strong plus.
- Display knowledge of equipment and processes in our bindery and finishing operations.
- Driven in a way that promotes professional excellence.
- Ability to operate basic production floor equipment, i.e. pallet jacks, scales, etc.
- Ability to learn the internal job system, data collection, reading job tickets, schedules, POs, and other specific requirements to the company’s processes.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High Diploma or GED
- 10 years of experience preferred
- Experience in perfect bound book production
- Mechanical knowledge; Safety knowledge.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Able to be on your feet most of the day.
- Able to lift up to 50-pound packages.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
- Work in a climate-controlled environment
- Machinery noise is continuous
- Overtime as needed; Available to start immediately
