The Sales Manager position offers a competitive base salary of $60,000 per year, along with an 8% commission on roof sales. Half of the commission is earned when the deposit is made for a project, and the other half is received once the depreciation is collected.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead by Example (Sales & Door-to-Door Outreach):
- The Sales Manager's #1 responsibility will be to lead sales efforts, including
actively knocking doors and generating leads.
- Maintain a strong, proactive presence in the field to set an example for the rest of
the sales team.
- Use in-depth knowledge of products and services to engage with potential clients
and close deals effectively.
2. Sales Team Development:
- Recruit, onboard, and hire new sales representatives to build a strong, reliable,
and motivated sales team.
- Focus on fostering team growth, instilling confidence, and ensuring the sales
team is well-equipped to meet and exceed performance goals.
- Provide ongoing training and development to sales team members, ensuring they
are up to date with sales techniques, product knowledge, and company policies.
- Mentor sales staff, offering guidance and support to help them succeed in their
roles.
3. Team Management & Performance Monitoring:
- Oversee the daily operations of the sales team, ensuring they are meeting their
targets and following company protocols.
- Monitor individual and team sales performance, offering feedback, coaching, and
motivation to achieve and exceed sales goals.
- Conduct regular team meetings to review progress, set new objectives, and
troubleshoot any challenges the team faces.
4. Supervision of Jobs When Needed:
- While the primary focus will be on sales and team-building, the Sales Manager
will also be responsible for overseeing jobs when no other team members are
available to supervise.
- Ensure that jobs are completed to the company’s standards, addressing any
issues that arise during the project.
5. Transition to Project Manager:
- The Sales Manager role will eventually transition into the Project Manager
position. During this transitional period, the focus will shift toward taking on
project management responsibilities, overseeing the execution of sales projects
and managing the project lifecycle while still overseeing your sales team.
- Prepare for the transition by developing an in-depth understanding of project
management processes and client expectations.
Compensation Structure:
- Base Salary: $60,000 annually.
- Commission: 8% commission on sales (half upon project deposit, the other half upon
depreciation collection).
- Employment Type: 1099 Independent Contractor with full-time, regular work hours (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday).
